Friends of Wings’ Flutter Bash February 24, 2018
Sponsor, Committee, Attendee
The Bash is the Friends of Wings’ biggest fundraiser, happening only every other year. The Bash is not a typical charity event, however. We keep costs to a minimum to ensure that the maximum dollars go back to Wings and BJC Hospice. But, the biggest event also needs the biggest committee and the most sponsors. Join us as we plan this important event and have fun in the doing.
Joyful Celebrations Ongoing
Pediatric or Adult Celebrations, Coordinate Party Patrol
This program recognizes a milestone or birthday of a patient. Patients have a moment of normalcy and joy as they mark a special day with balloons, cupcakes and a gift card delivered to their home by a Joyful Celebrations’ volunteer. And, if a very special occasion or opportunity arises, a Celebration might be a bit bigger when the Party Patrol takes over!
Remember the Love Ongoing
Coordinate a Remember the Love sneak surprise!
The Friends of Wings honor and remember Wings’ patients in a way that lets their families know that no one is forgotten. On what would've been the child's birthday, volunteers fill the family’s lawn with hearts and messages during a “Remember the Love” sneak surprise. Volunteers are needed to coordinate these very special surprises.
Evelyn’s House - the new BJC Hospice House Ongoing
Host a “Shower” to help stock Evelyn’s House
We are seeking hostesses to hold a Spring “Shower” to help provide Evelyn’s House, the new BJC Hospice House, with more of the comforts of home. We provide all the information and an invite. The hostess would decide the date, place, time and guest list. Guests can purchase “donations” from registries or give gift cards.
Thank you to all the volunteers
who help the Friends of Wings
accomplish so much!
