Programs We Fund

We support and bring awareness to programs and activities that create memories, celebrate life and bring comfort to patients and families. Administered by BJC Hospice professionals and volunteers, along with Friends of Wings volunteers, programs are provided at no charge to families.

  • Wings on Wheels (W.O.W.)
Children can find comfort in dealing with a loss through mobile expressive art and music therapy. W.O.W. brings this program to children where they live, learn and play, and when they see the brightly colored W.O.W. vehicle pull up, they know there are happy moments ahead. More→

  • Organized by Friends of Wings volunteers, we go big and small with Joyful Celebrations to mark special occasions and milestones or simply bring a moment of joy to adult and pediatric hospice patients.  More→

  • The Friends of Wings honor and remember Wings’ patients in a way that lets their families know that no one is forgotten. On the anniversary of a child’s birthday, volunteers fill the family’s lawn with hearts and messages during a “We Remember” sneak surprise.  More→
